Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI): Supplier Engagement Process
Bringing Continuous Innovation to NMCI
As part of EDS’ efforts to bring continuous innovation to NMCI, EDS has implemented the Supplier Engagement Process which enables large and small businesses to present their value propositions for inclusion in the NMCI contract. Businesses are eligible to engage with EDS if they meet one of the following criteria:
- Businesses have already sold their IT-related products, solutions or services to the Department of the Navy (DoN).
- Businesses are actively working with DoN sponsors or clients who are considering the procurement of their IT-related products, solutions or services.
Interested firms are encouraged to complete the Supplier Engagement Form so EDS can evaluate proposed solutions and provide responses.
The completion of the Supplier Engagement Form is for informational purposes only and in no way constitutes an agreement or intent to enter into an agreement with EDS. Only EDS will review the information provided.
EDS is most interested in partnering with suppliers who offer valuable technology solutions that are repeatable throughout the NMCI enterprise.
Each business that enrolls in the Supplier Engagement Program will be asked to select the category that best describes its product, solution or service. The categories are:
- Client Solutions and Services – for companies that have a product, solution or service for DoN end users (for example, personal digital assistants, or PDAs).
- Contract Labor and Product Reselling – for firms interested in potential opportunities to help EDS implement the NMCI program in the areas of staff augmentation and product reselling.
- Delivery Enhancement – for companies that have a product, solution or service that will enhance EDS’ delivery capabilities (for example, servers).
