The Situation
Enterprises running Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 have the ability to activate Intel vPro technology with Intel® Active Management Technology (AMT) now. Plans to upgrade the infrastructure to SCCM 2007 SP1 for Intel AMT should not delay activating Intel AMT today. Implementing Intel AMT management capabilities prior to migrating to SCCM 2007 SP1 will minimize the complexity of the migration project by ensuring organizational support of Intel AMT management is already in place.
