National Credit Card Center
Originally founded as a nonprofit agency, Taiwan's National Credit Card Center (NCCC) now processes more than 380 million credit-card transactions annually. However, recent government deregulation has made the Taiwanese marketplace increasingly competitive. So the company turned to longtime partner EDS to develop a new IT infrastructure designed for aggressive growth. EDS helped develop Taiwan's largest, most efficient electronic transfer point-of-sale network for NCCC. We also designed and deployed a new card-processing system that increases NCCC's processing capacity by 35 percent and allows the company to introduce new payment products faster. These innovations have helped transform NCCC from a commodity service provider to a market leader with a superior range of payment products and market-competitive rates.
